We all love to travel -- some of us to exotic lands far away, others to attractions closer to home. Some people like the comforts of luxurious resorts or cruises, others like to rough it in the wild. Many of us travel to enrich our lives with exposure to nature's majesty or mankind's cultural diversity, others simply to get away and relax. Some of us, at different times in our lives, do all of the above. What we all have in common, no matter how the type of travel or reasons for doing it may vary, is wanting to come home with photos that capture both the look and feel of the places we visit. Good travel photography is not easy. Photography, like any other skill, is mostly about thinking.

Get inspired!

All field class events involve learning photography alongside a National Geographic photographer. The course criteria designed to better inform people how to become a Nat Geo photographer in training, while learning only the skills you want to apply as your own craft. This is not an indoor classroom. Each outdoor location we'll visit has its own particular look, character, and ambiance. All skill levels welcome. Time will be set aside at the end of the Field Class* to review your photographs.

SEASON PASS Pre-Sale

A Season Pass gets you one daily admission to every 1-day 2019 field class. Numerous field classes to be held across AB, SK, and MB. Same Pass Rules of the Four-Star Pass apply to the Season Pass.

Don't think you can make it every 1-day field class, then pick your favourite four! The Four-Star Pass gets you one admission to four different 1-day field classes.

Pass Rules:

• A pass can only be used one time per field class location. So if you use your pass to see "Location 101" and like it so much you want to come again, you can't use your pass again for another field class of "Location 101."
• Passes expire on October 31, 2019 and do not carry over to the next year.
• No additional discounts or coupons can be applied to passes.
• Passholders wishing to change field class dates must notify the event Organizer at least 24-hours in advance, after that there are no exchanges or refunds.
• Non-transferable. The Purchaser is the only person who can attend the field classes.

We'll aim to begin the season as soon as the snows disappear and the backroads are passable. Bookings will open 15 March 2019 with locations in close proximity to all major cities in AB, SK, and MB (subject to demand). Field Class frequency in these city centers will be 2-3x per year. Let's be hopeful and set a 1 May 2019 start date. All tickets are valid 1 May 2019 to 31 October 2019.

Disclosures: The Field Class* events run rain or shine. Participants under the age of 19 must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. All Field Class events leave on time.

* Your own transportation is required.

Audit Policy: Only paid participants will be admitted during the Field Class events.

Waiver: As our guest, you are required to comply with our safety rules and are cautioned to heed all warnings. By accepting admission with this event ticket, you agree to release us from all responsibility for any loss, injury or damage which you may suffer, excepting any loss, injury or damage caused by our reckless, willful or grossly negligent acts. A general waiver will be presented to you for review and signing upon your arrival.

REFUND POLICY: All ticket sales are final. We rely on an accurate count for workshop planning therefore no refunds after registration closes. Should the event be canceled by the Organizer due to extreme weather (i.e. severe snowstorms, bitter cold temperatures, acts of God), up to four (4) other calendar dates will be offered by the Organizer. Please note that the Organizer's intention is to fulfill all Ticket Orders by 31 October 2019. Your failure to select dates will forfeit your Ticket.
